Job Description: Job Summary:The Chef de Partie Banquet is a pivotal member of our culinary team, responsible for supervising food preparation during breakfast, lunch, and dinner services. This role demands exceptional culinary skills, leadership abilities, and adaptability to cover stations as needed. The ideal candidate will possess a strong culinary background, exhibit solid leadership qualities, and be capable of thriving in a dynamic kitchen environment.Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and oversee the preparation banquet food items according to guest orders and production requirements.
  • Maintain impeccable standards of food quality, presentation, and taste, ensuring consistency throughout service.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety guidelines, maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.
  • Train, motivate, coach, and supervise kitchen employees, ensuring compliance with cultural and core standards.
  • Participate actively in the preparation of food items following recipe cards and production standards.
  • Complete mise en place and set up stations for service, ensuring readiness for peak periods.
  • Demonstrate expertise in all menu items and consistently produce high-quality dishes, covering kitchen stations as needed.
  • Assist in inventory management and cost control to maintain sustainable food costs.
  • Monitor waste, cooking temperatures, and quality to minimize expenses and uphold standards.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and ensure proper procedures are followed by all kitchen staff.
  • Foster a positive work environment, boosting staff morale under pressure, and covering stations when required.
  • Attend trainings and contribute to the mentorship and education of team members.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of cooking experience in the high-end hotel/resort restaurant industry.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of basic cooking, plating, and knife skills.
  • Availability to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to actively work on kitchen stations and cover stations as needed.
  • Ability to stand for the duration of shifts and lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs.
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to handle and manipulate objects with hands.
  • Capability to work on feet for at least 8 hours.
  • Fast-paced movements required to navigate various areas of the kitchen.
  • Ability to lift, pull, carry, or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds occasionally and 15 pounds regularly.
  • Occasional kneeling, bending, crouching, and climbing as required.
