Job Description: Job Description:Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Testing Supervisor to join our Marine team in Kennesaw, GA. This role is responsible for leading the Marine Innovation Center testing activities for Outboard Motor, Water Vehicles and Boat Power System projects. Help generate product requirements for new Product Development projects, create test plans to validate new designs. Benchmark competition to help Product Management set targets as well as build and lead team of Testing Technicians.What you’ll be doing:

• Plans and Manages test including Basic BM test and evaluation of the test boat.
• Works with Japan, learns the purpose and the method of the application test and endurance run test, and then executes tests.
• Supervises technicians with Lab or Field testing.
• Assists with propulsion system improvements: Propellers, fluid test, prototype and improvement
• Deals with market issues including troubleshooting, verification of countermeasure specs.
• Manages the shop operations, inventory, tools, supplies, etc.
• Manages the assets, test equipment, vehicles, boats.

What you need to be successful:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
• Data Acquisition (DAQ) systems familiarity preferred.
• Knowledge of maintenance in Marine E/G, and navigation devices.
• Basic knowledge with which to manage various test.
• Boat operation skills and peripheral device operation skills, including logical thinking and measuring data.
• Must be able to adapt to different cultures- Japanese language is helpful for this role.
• Able to independently conspire with Product Management and Product Development teams to establish product targets and test plans.
• Ability to lead team of technicians to ensure a safe and efficient department in which the staff is reasonably challenged to grow both technically and professionally.
