Title of the Job: System Administrator

Location: San Diego, CA

Job Description: Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a System Administrators who will support a government contract located in San Diego, CA.Responsibilities for the System Administrator:– Proactively maintain and develop all Linux infrastructure technology to maintain a 24x7x365 uptime service– Engineering of systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs– Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments– Fault finding, analysis and of logging information for reporting of performance exceptions– Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning– Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hot fixes on servers, workstations, and network hardware– Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks– Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment– Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies anddeployment processesQualifications for the System Administrator:

• Candidate must have a Top Secret/SCI security clearance
• Typically, a bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology or related technical degree
• A combination of the following: Linux+, RHCE, RHCSA, LPIC- 1: Linux Administrator, LPIC- 2
• Linux Engineer or LPIC- 3: Enterprise Linux Professional Certification
• Previous working experience as a Linux Administrator for 5 year(s)
• In depth knowledge of Linux: RedHat, CentOS, Debian, etc.
• Familiarity with VMWare and virtualization.

Compensation for the System Administrator:

• $100,000 – $135,000 *Depending on Experience.
