Job Description: Engineering Department Opportunity: Structural EngineeriENG Design is seeking a qualified professional to join our Engineering team. We are a full-service engineering and design firm specializing in nationwide conceptual design, BIM/3D modeling, procurement and mechanical construction management. With offices in Granite City, IL, St. Louis, MO, and Nashville, TN, our team believes in creating unique designs, providing unparalleled customer service and being at the forefront of technological innovation within the construction industry.We are currently looking for a Structural Engineer to join our team located at our headquarters in Granite City, IL. Our ideal candidate for this position is someone who has 5+ years of experience in a similar role and can oversee the review and analysis of mechanical piping systems, prefabrication processes, and structural supports.Primary responsibilities for iENG’s Structural Engineer include:

• Conducting structural analysis and design reviews of mechanical piping systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Evaluating and approving prefabrication designs and processes for mechanical piping and structural supports.
• Collaborating with mechanical engineers and project managers to assess the structural integrity of piping layouts and support systems.
• Performing stress analysis and evaluating the impact of thermal expansion, vibration, and other dynamic forces on piping systems.
• Developing and reviewing detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Providing technical guidance and support to project teams during the design, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Identifying potential structural issues and recommending corrective actions to enhance system reliability and safety.
• Ensuring all designs meet applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Participating in project meetings and communicating effectively with stakeholders to address technical concerns and project progress.

Primary qualifications for iENG’s Structural Engineer include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on prefabrication.
• Strong understanding of relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, AISC).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
