Job Description: DescriptionLeidos is seeking a Staff Network Engineer to join our Defense Enclave Services (DES) team, who will support an extensive digital modernization program critical to Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and Department of Defense (DoD) Fourth Estate Agencies. The Staff Network Engineer will develop, configure, and deploy network services within the Azure Cloud and data centers to fulfill end user requirements.CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Must possess an active DoD Secret or above clearance to be considered for this role. (US Citizenship required)Primary ResponsibilitiesDesign, maintain, and operate Wireless and Local Area Networks (LANs/WLAN) and Wide Area Networks (WANs), using Infrastructure as Code and Ansible Automation PlatformAutomate network changes on across various vendor platforms and Azure CloudAssist multifunctional team to help optimize and visualize network operationsConduct data captures to obtain network performance informationProvide inputs to the design of the enterprise’s network and mission architectureEvaluate network architectures across platforms to ensure alignment to cloud and network modernization strategies, capabilities and requirement setsActively identify opportunities for improvement, including innovations aimed at improving the user experience, improving efficiencies, and lowering sustainment costsEnforce security best practices and guidelines, leveraging knowledge of security policies, network security, and data securityBasic QualificationsBachelor’s degree and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or master’s degree with 6-10 years of prior relevant experienceMust possess an active DoD Secret or above clearance to be considered for this role. (US Citizenship required)Experience designing, deploying, and operating software defined networking solutionsStrong understanding of networking in the areas of LAN, WAN, TCP/UDP, IPSec, VPN, proxies, routing (L2/L3), firewalls and software defined networkingExperience implementing dual-stack networking to use both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses simultaneouslyExperience developing and deploying Infrastructure as Code (IaC), utilizing continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools, and leveraging automation platforms such as Ansible or Azure FunctionsUnderstanding of Federal Government application, server, and network security requirements such as NIST, FedRAMP, and FISMAAbility to work effectively within a distributed technical team, aided by strong written and verbal communication skillsFamiliarity with the Atlassian suite, including Jira and ConfluenceCurrent IAT Level II (or higher) Certification such as Security + or CISSPPreferred QualificationsCertified Cisco Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalentWorking experience installing, configuring, and managing Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, and IPAM)DISDESExternal Referral EligibleOriginal Posting Date: 2024-09-10While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range: Pay Range $89,700.00 – $162,150.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
