Reporting to: Manager of Software Engineering- ImplantLocation: Remote in the continental USA. Maryland local applicants to be given preference and enact a hybrid working environment.Hours of work: Typical hours of work are from 8:30 AM until 5:00 PM EST Monday through Friday. Additional hours may be necessary as needed. This position is exempt from overtime.Compensation: $85,000 annuallyAbout InVita:

As a Software Engineer, you will be helping our team build the next generation of our trusted and proven software products. You will contribute to both internal and external systems and make a direct impact on current and future applications.   • Enterprise level web application development.
  • Solidify product vision based on available budget and system requirements.
  • Work in a team setting to develop scalable features and applications.
  • Review software architecture and implement improvements.
  • Oversee quality checks to ensure all programs are free from defects.
  • Schedule releases and guarantee smooth application implementation.
  • Adapt existing code to meet security guidelines.
  • Test efficiency of applications and modify, as needed.
  • Document all testing protocols.
  • Attend conferences and ongoing educational opportunities.
  • Other duties, as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Java (and/or other JVM languages, e.g. Groovy), Java EE or Spring framework. Grails framework experience is preferred.
  • Understanding of JavaScript libraries (e.g. jQuery, React, Angular, etc.).
  • Experience with SQL, object-oriented programming, and J2EE framework.
  • Strong portfolio of scalable Java or equivalent code.
  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science PLUS at least 2+ years of experience, or 5+ years of experience developing all components of a modern web application stack.
