Plans and carries out broad assignments with responsibilities for recommending changes in accounting methods and procedures.Duties and Responsibilities:Process, reconcile and report food, travel, training memberships and certifications.Review and reconcile general ledger transaction daily, weekly, to ensure monthly and annual financial reports reflect accurate coding and process journal entries were applicable for any corrections.Reconcile, monitor, and report personnel monthly.Process, track, and report budget transfers as needed.Process, track and report inter-departmental chargebacks monthly.Create, develop, and design financial presentation, policy and procedures in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and legislation including Government Accounting Standard Board (GASB) rules on accounting practices and principles.Harris County is an Equal Opportunity Employer
