Job Description: Job Description:OverviewOverview: This internship provides hands-on experience in the Retail, Rental, and Tuning departments at Sunday River. Interns will work closely with an experienced team, gaining valuable skills in customer service, equipment maintenance, and sales techniques. This is a paid position and requires a 12-week attendance minimum to qualify and complete.Internship Duration: Minimum of 14 Saturdays, December 14 – March 15. Additional consistent Fridays or Sundays may be added to meet greater credit hour needs.
Responsibilities

• Retail Operations:

• Assist customers in selecting and purchasing ski/snowboard gear, helmets/goggles and outerwear.

• Maintain product displays and inventory management.

• Learn POS system and how to process sales from start to finish.

• Learn boot fitting and footbed basics to gain a solid understanding of how to fit boots and make basic corrections to achieve comfort, circulation and performance.

• Rental Services:

• Training for binding rental tech certification.

• Learn how to calculate DIN charts and adjust bindings.

• Manage rental equipment inventory and assist with customer fittings.

• Ensure all rental gear is tuned and maintained after use.

• Learn “Direct to Tech” rental system.

• Tuning/Repair:

• Learn basic tuning techniques, including base grinding, stone grinding, edge sharpening and waxing.

• Assist experienced technicians with equipment repair and maintenance.

• Gain knowledge of the importance of proper tuning for performance and safety.

• Learn to perform repairs such as p-tex, base welds and epoxy.

QualificationsIdeal Candidate Qualifications: Passionate about skiing/riding and the outdoors, with a desire to learn about retail, rental and tuning operations.
