This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of quality control processes in a manufacturing environment.Essential Functions:

  • Inspect incoming raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications and standards.
  • Perform in-process inspections of manufactured items to identify defects and deviations from specifications.
  • Conduct final inspections of finished products before shipment to customers.
  • Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste, and inputting data into quality databases.
  • Collaborate with the production team to address and resolve quality issues, ensuring that corrective actions are implemented effectively.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality inspection procedures and protocols.
  • Use measurement tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to perform precise inspections.
  • Participate in internal audits and support external audits as needed.
  • Assist in the calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality control standards.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers regarding quality issues and assist in supplier quality improvement initiatives.
  • Close out Work Orders
  • NCR inventory and organization
  • Identify Lean manufacturing opportunities for continuous process improvement and suggest alternatives and solutions to problems

  • High School graduate or equivalent plus 3 years’ experience with quality assurance, shipping, receiving, and inventory in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment, preferably in capital goods or related industry.
  • Proficiency in using precision measurement tools and equipment.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology and how QA functions within it, preferred.
  • Certified Six Sigma Black or Green belt, preferred
  • Professional certification CQE, or CQA preferred
