Job Description: Quality Assurance SpecialistYou will play a critical role in the Quality Assurance team to ensure both customer and company quality requirements are met.You will apply quality standards for receiving, in-process and final inspection in accordance with customer contractual requirements. You will review and evaluate complex in-process rejections and facilitates corrective action, as needed. You will interface with customers, vendors and various company departments to resolve quality problems and provide information.Location: Bethlehem, PAWe Take Care of Our PeoplePaid Time Off I 401K with Employer Match and Profit Sharing I Health and Wellness Benefits I Learning and Development Opportunities I Referral Program I Competitive Pay I Recognition I I *Your ChallengeReview component certifications to ensure full compliance with purchase order requirementsEnsure 100% quality and regulatory compliance in accordance with documented procedures for all aspects of functional responsibilityDevelop quality assurance data packages for customer reviewProvide subject matter expertise while interacting with internal and external customers as well as suppliers by meeting regularly, responding to requests, and resolving issues as they may ariseParticipate in the preparation and maintenance of quality management system proceduresReview and evaluate in-process rejections, obtain responses, evaluate root causes, and implement corrective action when needed.Identify potential project quality issuesPerform internal auditsReview and approve bills of material and purchase requisitions related to assigned projects.Prepare and provide detailed quality assurance inputs to such documentsReview and evaluate contractual requirements in specifications and drawings with specific attention to quality requirementsSupport in-process Hold/Witness Points at facility or offsiteCoordinate quality activities with customers, suppliers, and third-party oversight bodies as necessaryProvide leadership in acquiring and implementing improved QA techniques and processes and make key processes visibleServe as the key process owner and monitor for processes within the scope of area of specific responsibilityImprove and create standardized quality processesWhat You BringDegree strongly preferred: BS Mechanical or Materials Science Engineering (or equivalent)Demonstrated strong attention to detailsExcellent communication skillsExcellent organizational skillsMust be a US Citizen and able to obtain DoD security clearanceKnowledge of ISO9001:2015Lead Auditor certificationBasic engineering & materials science principlesManufacturing environmentNuclear Navy or Nuclear Power Industry experience is an assetFamiliarity with rotating machineryRegulated Industries (e.g., food, aerospace, transportation, biotech)Who We AreCurtiss-Wright Engineered Pump Division (EPD) and its predecessor companies have been providing naval and maritime technological expertise since 1847.
