Job Description: Job Title: QC Microbiology Associate IIJob DescriptionWe are seeking an eager and ambitious QC Microbiology Associate II. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, or Biochemistry and possess some laboratory experience in microbiology. You will work within the lab to help retrieve and sort samples for testing, perform media prep, sample prep, autoclave, and other microbiological duties, adhering to SOPs and GMP guidelines.Responsibilities

  • Receive, label, prepare, sample, test, count, check, and record data analysis of finished products, stability test samples, and other test requirements.
  • Support the department in ensuring lab equipment performance, including scheduling and execution of equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Compile and prepare test results/reports related to lab testing.
  • Ensure continuous test operation, good performance, maintenance, and housekeeping of lab equipment and facilities.
  • Check test results for compliance with methods, specifications, procedures, equipment operating instructions, and guidelines for the superior.
  • Perform release/reject in computer system of incoming starting materials and/or finished goods after verification/approval of Microbiologist.
  • Support/participate with the superior in the preparation of test methods, specification procedures, and equipment operating instructions.
  • Work a non-standard schedule as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology, Biology, or Biochemistry
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques and sterility is a plus
  • Open to new graduates and will provide one week of training
  • 0-2 years of experience

Work EnvironmentThe shift is from Sunday to Thursday, 7:00am-3:30pm. The first day includes GMP training on a Monday from 12:45pm-4:30pm, with the regular schedule starting the following week on Sunday. You will work in a GMP-regulated Sterility Lab performing microbiology testing. We are one of the largest suppliers of sterile saline solution IV bags, syringes, and antibiotics for hospitals.
