If you’re ready to make a big impact, foster excitement in every tumble, and create a safe, supportive environment, this is your stage.Bring your expertise, energy, and flair—apply today and help us make gymnastics magical!Full-time (Salary $50,000 +) or Part-time ($18 – $25 per hour) Opportunities Available!!Flexible Schedule, Free Y MembershipPOSITION SUMMARY:Under the direction of the Youth Development Director the Progressive Gymnastics Head Coach provides leadership for and supervision of the Preschool and Recreational (Progressives) Gymnastics program including instructing participants, overseeing safety, and supervising coaches and volunteers.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Coaches and instructs students, individually or in groups, regarding the rules, regulations, and proper use of equipment2. Supervise and direct coaches and their oversight of duties3. May assign duties to subordinate coaches as necessary.4. Observes students during practice to help determine the needs for the individual improvement.5. Establishes and maintains professionalism while supervising students and coaches during practice.6. First point of contact for parents regarding the performance and behavior of students. Responsible for parent meetings.7. Serves as a team representative and promotes gymnastics by communicating with parents, visitors, etc.8. Develops and sustains positive relationships with participants and coaches while providing motivational support and guidance.9. Encourages and promotes member and parent involvement.10. Follows all emergency and safety procedures. Maintain equipment and complete all safety checks per schedule. Completes incident and accident reports as necessary.11. Develops and coordinates volunteer and fundraising opportunities, tracks volunteer hours and fundraising events.12. Must be at least 21 years of age.2. Minimum 2 years of experience with practical understanding and comprehensive knowledge of gymnastics competitions, teaching techniques, and evaluation participant performance.3. Must be able to instruct, coach and spot gymnasts, including upper-level gymnasts.4. Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred; required within 30 days of hire.5. Experience with the supervision and development of staff, budget responsibilities and program supervision.6. Strong communication and customer service skills.7. Ability to interact with kids at their cognitive level.8. Maintain a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the program and will have evening and weekend work.CERTIFICATIONS: * Bloodborne Pathogens/Child Abuse Prevention every yearPHYSICAL DEMANDS:1. Must be able to lift 50lbs.2.
