  • Serves as Deputy Product Manager (DPM) for Passive and Instrumentation Radars (PIR) Product Office.
  • Provides overall direction and guidance for the development, acquisition, testing, product improvements, fielding, and sustainment of the Range Replacement Radar Program (RRRP) and Army Long-Range Persistent Surveillance (ALPS) Programs.
  • Oversees planning, cost estimating, program planning, programming, budgeting, program integration, interoperability and oversight of radar programs.
  • Directs the development of life cycle documentation in support of major program milestones.
  • Serve as advisor to the PIR Product Manager; providing status of projects, progress made, projected future plans, and problems.

  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
  • Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at the Advanced level in the Acquisition Career Field Program Management within 48 months of entrance on duty.
  • The duties of this position require submission of, on an annual basis, OGE 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report.
  • Business travel required up to 50% of the time.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP) and requires a 3-year tenure agreement. Must sign DD Form 2888 (Critical Acquisition Position Service Agreement) and execute, as a condition of employment, a written tenure agreement.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.

QualificationsThis is a pay banded position. The NH-04 encompasses grades 14 and 15 on the General Schedule.   • This is a DoD Demonstration Project position. Under the Defense Authorization Act, personnel management demonstration programs are operating in numerous Army activities and various other organizations supported by Army civilian personnel centers. Under the streamlined personnel operations for demonstration projects, the familiar 15 General Schedule grade structure is replaced with broad pay bands that typically encompass a range of grades. For example, acquisition jobs in level NH-IV of broad banding encompass the traditional GS-14 through GS-15 grades. Other initiatives under the demonstration projects include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process, and expanded developmental opportunities.
