• Perform experiments and coordinate studies for raw material evaluation with analytical development, supply chain and manufacturing to evaluate process raw material inputs to ensure GMP compliance, improve process robustness and consistency
• Perform pluripotent stem cell culture and differentiation, and support process and manufacturing operation optimization
• Apply DOE/QBD principles to process characterization and stablish process parameters
• Prepare, interpret and present data generated from lab studies
• Draft and review study protocol and reports, while ensuring data integrity
• Effectively collaborate with a fully integrated team to facilitate the success of projects and participate in team scientific discussions
• Apply fundamental scientific and engineering principles to process design, development, and process understanding
• Support general lab operations and inventory management, including material projections and ordering, general equipment maintenance, and upkeep of lab cleanliness

Knowledge and Skills:

• Process development experience in a bio-pharmaceutical setting working with interdisciplinary and cross-cultural teams
• Experience with 2D and 3D mammalian cell culture and aseptic processing, including associated equipment such as cell processing devices and bioreactors. Experience with pluripotent stem cell culture and directed differentiation preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and effective communication skills to communicate technical and scientific information within a team.
• Strong knowledge of GMP requirements
• Willingness to learn, contribute, and troubleshoot, with a team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, including effective communication of findings, progress, and problems
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and to maintain detailed and accurate records and notes.
• Must be skilled in the Windows operating system and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with electronic lab notebook and data management preferred.

Education and Experience:

• A Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Engineering, Biology or related discipline and 0-2 years of experience or BS degree and 4+ years of experience
