Job Description: Overview:The MRI Technologist position is a dedicated to our Breast MRI Facility only. A candidate with previous breast experience in mammography and/or breast ultrasonography preferred but not required. The MRI Technologist will rotate between MRI Breast facilities in Fayetteville, AR; Bentonville, AR.The MRI Technologist works under minimal supervision of the Lead MRI Technologist and Chief Technologist. Working effectively with patients and another clinic personnel, assisting with PACS, and routes patients and/or their images through the appropriate process.About the Breast CenterThe Breast Center strives to be an important resource for breast health in Northwest Arkansas, as well as the best source of breast screening and diagnostic services. - Perform diagnostic procedures as required and achieve a high level of image quality
- Be observant for artifacts and keep them to a minimum
- Obtain patient history as needed
- Perform and assist other technologists during procedures, helping to put the patient at ease
- Act as agent to obtain pertinent information to aid the physician in diagnosis care and treatment
Qualifications:
- Graduation from a certified Radiological Technology Program
- 2 years related experience and/or training preferred but not required
- R.R.T. Certification in Radiology and MRI (or MRI Registry eligible)
- CPR certification
