MedLife Primary and Urgent Care is looking for a Medical Biller to join our dedicated team!Position OverviewAs a Medical Biller, you will be a part of our Billing Team ensuring accurate billing processes and helping patients navigate their healthcare expenses. You’ll work closely with our administrative and clinical staff to handle claims, verify insurance, and manage payments effectively.Key Responsibilities

• Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies in a timely and accurate manner.
• Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility.
• Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Maintain patient billing records and ensure confidentiality.
• Assist with patient inquiries related to billing and payments.
• Stay updated on changes in insurance policies, coding standards, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in medical billing (2+ years preferred).
• Strong understanding of medical billing codes (CPT, ICD-10) and insurance regulations.
• Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, insurance representatives, and team members.
• Experience with Athena EMR a plus
• Spanish Speaker a plus
