Job Description: Leaders of Tomorrow Youth Center in Washington D.C. is seeking a passionate Marching Band Instructor to join our team. We are dedicated to nurturing young talents and providing a platform for growth through music education. As an integral part of our organization, you will inspire and mentor young musicians, shaping them into confident performers. At LTYC, we offer a supportive and enriching environment where creativity thrives. Your role will involve leading rehearsals, organizing performances, and instilling discipline and teamwork in our students. Develop and implement lesson plans for marching band rehearsals and performances
- Purpose: To ensure students learn and master musical pieces and marching formations
Provide guidance and feedback to students on their musical and marching skills
- Purpose: To help students improve and grow as musicians and performers
Organize and oversee marching band practices and performances
- Purpose: To ensure smooth execution of routines and successful performances
Collaborate with other instructors and staff to coordinate music selection and marching routines
- Purpose: To create a cohesive and synchronized marching band performance
Evaluate and assess student progress and provide regular updates to parents and school administration
- Purpose: To track student development and communicate achievements and areas for improvement
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as a Marching Band Instructor
- Strong background in music education or related field
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans for marching band routines
- Proficiency in classroom management techniques
- US Work Authorization
