Repairs and maintains historic buildings, government housing, support structures and buildings within accepted safety, health and sanitary conditions. Perform plumbing on potable water and wastewater systems and related equipment such floats, fittings, sinks, toilets, and fixtures. Performs electrical wiring necessary to maintain existing 120 and 240 volt electrical systems and troubleshoots and repairs to 24 and 48 volt Photovoltaic power systems. Plans and lay out projects, making modifications when necessary. Inputs data into the computerized Facility Management Software System (FMSS) and uses electronic email and word processing programs as a component of daily work activities.This is an open continuous vacancy announcement. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the work as a Maintenance Mechanic at the journeyman level. Provide technical recommendations for methods, tools, and materials used in these trades as well as plan, layout all work to be completed and ensure proper selection of materials and manpower for the completion of projects. Performed at this level in two of the following trades: Carpentry, Plumbing, Painting, Masonry, Water Treatment Plant Operations, or Roofing.If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration.
