A leader in the 4″ baked pie category, Table Talk continues to grow and move into the next century.Our manufacturing plant locations are looking to find qualified candidates to fill the open position of a Maintenance Mechanic on 1st and 2nd shifts. The successful maintenance mechanic will work under the supervision of a Maintenance Manager, and will be expected to perform the following duties, tasks, and responsibilities shown in the job description below. We host three levels of Maintenance Mechanics (Level C up to A determined by experience):SUMMARYWill work diligently and efficiently to ensure continued operation of plant machinery including motors, conveyors, and of the like.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Actively pursue and correct problems with components and systems throughout the facility
• Understands fractions and decimals
• Basic knowledge of Lathe and Milling machine equipment
• Ability to use calipers, micrometer’s, and scales
• Basic knowledge of automated packaging machinery operation, troubleshooting and repair
• Capable to use all of shop equipment and hand tools
• Basic knowledge of principals of power transmission/ gearboxes
• Basic knowledge of bearing types and application
• Basic knowledge of pump theory, operation and repair
• Basic knowledge of pneumatic principles, application troubleshooting and repair
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic principles, application troubleshooting and repair
• Basic knowledge of rebuilding of air cylinders
• Capable of reading basic electrical schematics
• Work safely with both low and high voltage circuits
• Diagnose minor electric motor, motor control and device control problems
• Ability to weld and solder
• Understands torching and plasma cutting
• Basic understanding of Tig, Big and Arc welding and performing small repairs
• Basic plumbing and carpentry skills
• Ability to identify and order parts and materials from manufacturers’ manuals and prints
• Communicate both oral and written instructions
• Other duties as assigned

Education requirements and preferred skills

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Valid driver’s license if assigned to drive a company vehicle for local travel between plant locations
• Bi-lingual – English and Spanish, preferred

Salary range will vary depending on your Skill Level (Class A-C) Mechanic.Physical RequirementsThe incumbent is required to operate machines, devices, tools, etc., used for plumbing; and move throughout the facility. Ability to lift 50 pounds from the ground to shoulder height.Why Table Talk ?
