Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications.SummaryThe Languages and Cultures Department at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs is searching for a temporary, non-tenure track Lecturer to teach RUSS 1010 “Beginning Russian I” for SPRING 2025, and possible future dates if necessary. Qualified applicants will hold at least a master’s degree in Russian, or closely related language with an advanced knowledge and literature of the Russian language. Note: Languages and Cultures is open to having someone teach it in hybrid or online, modality but prefer in-person.Essential FunctionsThe duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Teaching writing and Russian composition classes
• Grading, meeting with students, and any other requirements for conducting coursework for students
• Conducting research on teaching methods, materials, and Russian languages that can be used in the classroom
• Developing lesson plans and curricula based on the needs of individual students

• Master’s degree in Russian language, or comparison post-Bachelor Russian language achieved literature certificate(s) is required.
