Location: San Francisco Bay AreaI have an exciting opportunity for a Cheminformatician to join an AI-driven company focused on drug toxicity.The company are looking to use AI to eliminate chemical toxicity, replacing experiments in pharma, food, cosmetics and agriculture with AI by integrating imaging data with chemical data.This is a unique opportunity to be a founding member of a team setting out to build the first accurate AI systems for replacing lab and animal toxicity experiments with AI models.This presents an exciting opportunity to take ownership, contribute novel ideas and have a huge impact, as well as to work with with large, well known organisations across the pharma, food and cosmetic industries.The role:
- Using our AI/ML tools to drive customer’s drug programs forward
- Analysis of customer data (SMILE strings)
- Data preparation and processing and building it into our modeling pipeline
- Analysis of how our model performance and predictions vary across different molecule classes
- Analyzing chemical series, modalities, and how our model predictions and performance vary across them
- Identify similar molecules with known safety profiles/outcomes and compare to our results
- Contribute to our product, writing code to help process the data and use it in our product
- Drive the design and development of our product based on customer needs and novel ideas
- Research novel machine learning representations of chemistry
- Interpret results and present to customers
Your profile:
- PhD Chemistry, Cheminformatics, or a related discipline
- Strong chemistry background
- Experience working on a drug program
- Python coding skills
- Cheminformatics libraries like RDkit or datamol
- Libraries like numpy, pytorch
- Machine learning experience
- Presentation and communication skills
