Job Description: Welcome to Baylor Scott & White Sports Surgery Center at The Star, where excellence meets culture of safety and stellar patient experience while allowing for personal growth and opportunities.Baylor Scott & White Sports Surgery Center at The Star is seeking a Full-Time Insurance Verification/ Surgery Scheduler to join our team. No calls, No weekends and No holidays.!!Insurance Verification/ Surgery Scheduler at Baylor Scott & White Sports Surgery Center at The Star:The Surgery Scheduler/Insurance Verifier under the direction of the Business Office Manager, is responsible for daily maintenance of the surgery schedule and all aspects of the scheduling process. This includes strategizing, problem solving and ensuring high levels of customer service with scheduling coordinators from all physician offices, insurance carriers, and patient follow-ups. The Insurance Verifier is responsible for validating patient information, insurance coverage details and to determine patient responsibility based on Insurance Contracts. - High school graduate or equivalent
- One year previous experience or some hospital clerical experience or medical terminology preferred
- Must have the skills necessary to operate the office equipment required to fulfill job duties
- Forty-five (45) wpm typing skills required
- Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial *Good communication skills
