Job Description: Job Title: Engineering Test TechnicianJob DescriptionAs an Engineering Test Technician, you will troubleshoot and investigate problems related to the design and operations of test cells. You will verify laboratory equipment calibration, assist with designing systems for lab or production functions, set up products for testing, and perform prescribed and specialized tests. You will document findings, recommend changes to Design Engineering, design and maintain lab data acquisition systems, and support test data management. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and investigate problems related to the design and operations of test cells.
- Verify that laboratory equipment is current with respect to calibration.
- Assist with designing systems for lab or production functions.
- Set up products for testing and conduct prescribed and specialized tests.
- Investigate and troubleshoot test equipment-related problems and opportunities.
- Document findings and recommend corrective/improvement changes to Design Engineering.
- Design and maintain lab data acquisition systems and support test data management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education.
- Min Voc-Tech degree in HVAC with 0 – 2 years of experience.
- Experience with test equipment, lab systems, process controls, and associated processes.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work well with others in a matrix team environment.
- Knowledge of instrumentation related to refrigeration and gas combustion equipment.
- Formal training or demonstrated ability in LabVIEW or similar programming software for test automation.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions and procedures.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA), AutoCAD, Pro-E, PLCs, and controls.
