Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration required; Master’s preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in materials management, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong background in hospital supply chain operations, including GPO management and inventory control.

Manages and negotiates the prices and processes, ensuring appropriate approval processes for acquisitions of capital are followed as outlined on the financial approval grid. Negotiate and manage the use of local contracts.

  • Initiates supply and equipment negotiations for individual purchases and continual contractual relationships for approval, according to established policy and procedures.
  • Oversees the equipment management services to ensure appropriate and timely cleaning, tracking, and delivery of movable patient equipment.
  • Provides rapid feedback, information and decisions to direct reports to assure rapid response to internal/external market changes, opportunities and threats, as well as provides support as required to rapidly implement action plans.

Responsible for managing costs, generating revenue and charge capture. Facilitate activities with GPO to ensure contract tiers and compliance. Manages all off-contract and non-contracted spending.

  • Manages the hospitals supplier diversity program and set goals to increase awareness, develop community strategies, and incrementally increase annual percentage and dollars. Participate in MMBC (Mid-South Minority Business Council) corporate programs, match maker sessions, vendor fairs and other related programs and resources. Track diversity spending and report to CFO quarterly.
  • Manages the hospitals VAT (Value Analysis Team) to ensure compliance and policies are met relative to the interdiction of new product and equipment. Encourage product standardization and the use of GOP contracts when feasible. Coordinates vendor trials and evaluation and oversees through implementation.

Manages hospitals vendor management and credentialing system to ensure vendor representatives are in compliance with hospital policies and are credentialed, approved to be on site at the hospital and are wearing the appropriate ID badge and attire.

  • Maintains and upholds organizational policies, as well as acts as an advisor/resource to departments with regard to supply, equipment and service needs.

Oversees strategies and best practices pertaining to the in-stock inventory warehouse, inventory control, shipping and receiving, and supply distribution.Manages all par level inventories to ensure maximum par optimization and charge capture. Provides reports to department managers and directors to assist with par and usage reviews of supplies for expense reduction and budgeting. Ensure all Joint Commission standards are met.

  • Conducts monthly rounding for outcomes with direct reports. Report rounding outcomes from stop light report to CFO and develop the linkage grid.
