Position Summary:Responsible for the data migration and management functions involved in research clinical and basic research, including applications and operations addressing relevant standards, guidelines, and best practices. Will build data repositories and write data processes and SOPs for sets for the UTHealth
Houston Institute on Aging. Ensures data management complies with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations; and institution and study requirements, policies and procedures.Position Key Accountabilities:1. Develops, documents, and monitors the Data Management for each research study.
2. Supports data protocols with study sponsors.
3. Creates needed databases for data storage and migration.
4. Responsible for regulatory management, including working with principal investigators & coinvestigators
5. May coordinate development and implementation of data management for the different cores at
the UTHealth Houston Institute on Aging.
6. Responsible for all custom software development and support of existing applications including
analysis, design, testing, deployment, training, and support.
7. Conducts feasibility studies and analysis of proposed projects.
8. Develops and maintains quality controls for all research databases.
9. Communicates quality and performance measures, and operation information to management,
clinical trial staff, and users.
10. Responsible for measuring and achieving data quality goals in clinical studies and trials.
11. Reviews and evaluates available tools, methodologies, best practices, and techniques to optimize
data management activities.
12. Provides day to day project management coordination for research projects to include personnel,
facilities, and supplies in support of research project desired outcomes, budgets, and timeliness.
13.
