Our site in Billerica, MA is seeking a/an Chemistry Intern to join our team for the Summer 2025 season. This assignment is intended to be 12-14 weeks in duration.
We are looking for an Engineer/Chemist to be part of the surface modification team. They primarily would synthesize ligand monomers and resins, characterize membranes using analytical techniques and develop methods for surface modification.What You’ll Do:

• Execute Experiments
• Characterize membrane with various analytical techniques
• Report the results and maintain notebooks by keeping appropriate experimental records in a laboratory notebook.
• Synthesize monomers or polymerizable ligands. .
• Collaborate with scientist to manufacture membranes.
• Communicate technical results to the research group.
• Organize data and plot graphs

• Undergraduate students
• Chemistry background
• Organic Synthesis experience is a plus point (not a requirement)

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

• Creativity/ingenuity to overcome technical challenges.
• Interest in learning additives/particle synthesis. Basic organic chemistry knowledge needed (chemist or chemical engineer. Senior students preferred).
• Curious and willing to learn
• Aptitude to perform systematic analysis of laboratory results.
• Ability to design and follow standard operation procedures (SOPs). (Attention to good safety practices).
• Good team attitude to collaborate with scientists to manufacture membranes. Communication skills
