Job Description: DescriptionBoulder County Community Planning and Permitting Department is seeking to hire a Bilingual Mobility For All Outreach and Engagement Coordinator. This position will work with the County Mobility for All Program to develop equitable outreach and engagement strategies for the Mobility for All Program, focused on engaging with youth, people with disabilities, older adults, Spanish-speaking families and encouraging the usage of accessible, affordable, and equitable transportation options. The Mobility for All Program works closely with nonprofits, local government, and school district partners to facilitate county-wide and regional coordination for transportation services and promotes mobility options for populations with special needs. Ideal candidates will have a value for racial equity and social justice, strong English and Spanish communication skills, community engagement knowledge, ability to be innovative and take initiative, and a positive attitude. Planner I is the entry level classification in the professional planning series. We are seeking an individual who has strong communication skills and exceptional organizational skills, strong experience working with internal and external partners, and the ideal candidate for this role will be willing to participate in non-linear project processes, community engagement, project design—all centering racial equity throughout.This is a full-time, benefited position that will work Monday – Friday with flexible hours, with frequent evening and weekend hours to facilitate or support public engagement opportunities and/or attend outreach events. This position will work remotely and out of 2045 13th St. Boulder Boulder, Colorado. - Build and maintain meaningful relationships with partner organizations, community leaders, and residents, fostering inclusive environments where all individuals feel valued and heard
- Schedule and coordinate outreach, engagement, and educational activities with staff, volunteers, and partners, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and adequate support
- Plan and execute community events, meetings, and workshops, including creating promotional materials, managing logistics, and analyzing feedback to measure impact
- Provide personalized mobility assessments, offering information, assistance, and referrals to help individuals access resources and develop tailored mobility plans
- Represent Mobility for All at community events to promote mobility programs, services, and resources while gathering feedback to strengthen relationships across diverse communities
- Establish regular two-way communication channels to gather feedback and address questions from community members about multimodal services, programs, and projects
- Collaborate with community members to develop bilingual, culturally relevant educational materials and resources that reflect local priorities and are accessible for all ages
- Create and implement inclusive communication strategies, including print, social media, website content, newsletters, and press releases, using plain language and visual elements to increase awareness of multimodal transportation options
- Manage and schedule content across platforms (GovDelivery, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube) to engage audiences and raise awareness of mobility programs and services
- Lead training sessions on using multimodal transportation systems, including trip planning, cost structures, and safety protocols, to support independence and confidence
- Track and assess key performance indicators for outreach efforts, refining strategies based on community feedback to ensure continued success of mobility programs and engagement efforts
- Design visual communications (presentations, reports, etc.) to convey complex information to community members, partners, and policymakers, highlighting program progress and impact
- Maintain organized records of outreach materials, event logistics, budgets, and other relevant documentation
- Performs related work, as required
- May be reassigned during emergency situations
