About the Role:As the Area Training Manager – Front of House at Din Tai Fung, you will play a critical role in ensuring our restaurants deliver an exceptional dining experience through effective training and development of our front-of-house staff and management. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a robust training culture, leading training initiatives, and providing feedback to improve our training programs and tools.Responsibilities:1. Build a Network of Certified Trainers:

  • Identify and develop Certified Trainers in each restaurant to ensure consistent and high-quality training across all locations.
  • Foster relationships with restaurant management teams to support the development and effectiveness of Certified Trainers.

2. Analyze Learning Needs and Collaborate on Training Programs:

  • Assess field-based learning needs through regular evaluations and feedback from restaurant teams.
  • Collaborate with the Learning and Development team to design, develop, and implement effective training programs, tools, and resources that address identified needs.

3. Lead and Coordinate Training Initiatives:

  • Organize and lead training sessions, workshops, and seminars within restaurants to ensure all front-of-house staff are well-trained and equipped to deliver exceptional service.
  • Coordinate training schedules and ensure timely delivery of training programs.

4. Provide Feedback on Policies and Programs:

  • Gather and provide feedback to the Learning and Development team and other support center teams regarding the effectiveness of current policies, procedures, programs, and tools.
  • Recommend improvements and adjustments based on field observations and feedback from front-line staff.

5. Build and Maintain a Sustainable Training Culture:

  • Promote and sustain a training culture that aligns with Din Tai Fung’s purpose, values, and business strategy.
  • Encourage continuous learning and professional development among front-of-house staff to enhance their skills and career growth.

  • Proven experience in training and development, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of training experience
  • Multi-unit management experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Passion for training, development, and continuous improvement.
  • Flexibility to travel to different restaurant locations as needed.
