Job Description: DescriptionCPA Tax Manager – $120,000 per year + bonusWe are seeking a dynamic CPA Tax Manager for a full-time position in Wakefield, MA, offering a base salary up to $120K plus bonus. This hybrid role requires in-office presence on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with remote work on Monday and Friday. Join a growing 40-person CPA firm with a diverse client base that includes both small companies and large publicly traded clients. Our firm specializes in tax, audit, and consulting services, handling a broad scope of business and individual returns. • Supervise tax engagements in accordance with firm and professional standards
• Plan and schedule tax engagements with clients and firm resources
• Build and maintain relationships with clients
• Perform detailed reviews of tax returns and tax work papers
• Conduct tax research projects
• Communicate with clients and team members regarding project status and client opportunities
• Provide training, direction, and supervision to the team
• Maintain technical expertise in various tax areas related to industry specialization

Qualifications:

• BSBA in accounting
• CPA credentials and/or other advanced degree required
• 8+ years of experience in public accounting
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple client projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Working knowledge of accounting and auditing principles
• Experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Word and Excel, ProSystem fx Tax
