Job Description: Job DescriptionGeneral Summary:The Clinical Supply Chain Manager is responsible for forecasting, packaging, labeling and distribution of investigational medicinal product to support Vertex clinical studies. This person delivers on independent activities and acts as the primary Supply Chain contact on working teams and with key contract manufacturing/logistics suppliers. This position reports to the Associate Director, Clinical Supply Chain.Key Responsibilities:The responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to, the following:Ownership of Clinical Supply Chain activities including planning, labeling, packaging, and distribution of Investigational Medicinal Product for multiple projectsActing as primary point of contact with contract manufacturing partnersForecasting supply needs in conjunction with Clinical and CMC colleaguesInteracting with Finance to develop budgets and manage costs for clinical supply activitiesSupporting the Supply Chain team’s development of global supply and procurement strategies including vendor selectionUtilizing appropriate software and IT systems to effectively manage key project activities including IWRS and Quality/Document Management SystemsDeveloping and revising SOPs to support supply chain activitiesDisplaying proven effectiveness in managing customer expectations and influencing othersWorking with cross functional team including Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs and QAPerforming other duties as assigned.Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and 4+ years of relevant professional experienceExperience managing global, multi-country Phase 3 trialsHigh degree of knowledge on regulations relating to pharmaceutical supply chain activities (cGMP, GCP, import/export, computer systems/Part 11) including possible changes to regulationEmerging knowledge across supply chain disciplines (e.g., production planning, clinical supplies, logistics, ERP/MPR systems administration)Superb interpersonal, facilitation, customer relations skillsProven ability to interact effectively and give presentations to senior managementDemonstrated adaptability taking on new responsibilitiesExperience with implementation of software systems#LI-hybrid #LI-SV1Flex Designation: Hybrid-Eligible Or On-Site EligibleFlex Eligibility Status:In this Hybrid-Eligible role, you can choose to be designated as:
1. Hybrid: work remotely up to two days per week; or select
