Role will be responsible for providing technical support of all the application within the EAS RDS service tower. The Application Support Engineer will contribute and lead project initiatives for APAC, EMEA or US regions, develop teams to make sure all aspects of the operating procedures/runbooks within a predefined shift pattern are followed. This role is encouraged to work closely with the required development teams, our Enterprise Infrastructure partners and our internal business clients to resolve and advance technical support incidents where vital.Primary Responsibilities:

• Support DTCC applications by providing monitoring, application, and system support for DTCC’s production application services client facing environments.
• Provide 24×7 support for event monitoring, incident triage and critical issue.
• Lead new projects and ensure all work like PTO, Controls etc. are in place for the operational support.
• Provide support to all jurisdictions on a shift basis, handling any activity for any region within the local time zone coverage.
• Identify and implement efficiencies and improvements to standard processes and procedures such as automation through scripting, programming, etc.
• Provide support for organizational change approval, execution for DTCC’s production application services.
• Client support team engagement to assist with application related incidents, client testing and integrations.
• Disaster recovery test planning and execution – application environment review, shutdown, start, verification, troubleshooting.
• Access’ administration for application access to DTCC’s production application services
• Management of resources that are involved in maintaining the host operating system on UNIX, Vmware and Windows servers as well as software subsystems such as databases, web server software, LDAP, and security subsystems.
• Align risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalate appropriately.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any) or related field and 3 years of experience in the job or related position. Prior experience to include.

• System administration – including system configuration management, resource sharing, and operating system fundamentals.
• Application support – including general programming, log reading and analysis.
• Networking and Storage technologies – TCP/IP and EMC and NetApp and HP and Cisco
• Middleware technologies – WebSphere Application Server and WebSphere MQ and Java and JRE and Nutanix
• Clustering technologies – Veritas and Red Hat and VMWare vSphere
• Linux/Unix and Windows Server Operating Systems with troubleshooting on these platforms.
• Management of resources that are involved in maintaining the host operating system on UNIX, Vmware and Windows servers as well as software subsystems databases, web server software, LDAP, and security subsystems.
• Oracle PL/SQL coding with debugging, having hands on experience with databases (Oracle and Snowflake and Greenplum and MS SQL)
• Supporting hybrid applications running in AWS cloud and ON PREM environments
• Unix Shell scripting to automate tasks to aid in manual task reduction efforts.
• Autosys/CA Uncenter scheduler
