Supervise maintenance personnel performing maintenance operations at two state owned hatcheries. Travel between Marquette and Thompson State Fish Hatcheries will be required bi-weekly. Other over night travel is required occasionally. Coordinate materials and manpower for maintenance, repairs or remodeling of hatchery buildings, equipment, and systems. Meet regularly with maintenance personnel to share information, ideas, needs, and training. Work closely with hatchery managers to keep abreast of rearing schedules, program changes, and future facility requirements. Assist in alarm response training and developing preventative maintenance programs.The official workstation of this position will be at 488 Cherry Creek Rd, Marquette, MI OR 944 S State Highway M149, Manistique, MI, based on the preference of the selected candidate.Vacancy 2

without an air brake restriction. Maintaining a valid CDL is a condition of employment.Employees in these positions must be able to complete on call duties and will be assigned to on-call rotation and must be able to respond to a callback within 15-30 minutes. On-Call duties are a condition of employment for this position, which complies to Fisheries Division Policy 03.01.001 On-Call and Call-Back Policy.Valid driver’s license is required.Certifications in welding, plumbing, or as a commercial electrician (3-phase) are desirable.Required Education and ExperienceEducation

Two years of experience equivalent to a Carpenter E9, Electrician E9, Locksmith E9, Machinist E9, Maintenance Mechanic E9, Mason-Plasterer E9, Painter E9, Plumber E9, Refrigeration Mechanic E9, Welder E9, Steeplejack E9; or, one year equivalent to a Carpenter 10, Electrician 10, Locksmith 10, Machinist 10, Maintenance Mechanic 10, Mason-Plasterer 10, Painter 10, Plumber 10, Refrigeration Mechanic 10, Welder 10 or Steeplejack 10.Additional Requirements and InformationPlease attach a cover letter, resume, three references and official college transcripts (if applicable) to your application.
