Launch your career forward and apply with us today!DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Statistician 2, you will review, oversee, and reconcile macro level Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW) data for an assigned area on a quarterly basis, in addition to reviewing short and long-term industry forecast data. You will also serve as the primary technician for electronically transmitted batch Multiple Worksite MWRs, as well as run, modify, and write queries using SAS, SQL developer, Access, or other query tools to extract data from the various relational databases our bureau has access to that contain employer and employee micro and macro data. We are looking for someone with proficient analytical skills and an extensive knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, Metabase, SQL Developer, SAS, and other web-based applications.Interested in learning more?   • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, upon successful completion of the in-office probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Statistician 1; or
  • One year of professional experience in the collection, compilation, editing, and statistical analysis of quantified data and a bachelor’s degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
