Description:Cloud Lake Technology is looking for an Operations Engineer to support a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) prime contract in Ashburn, VA that provides comprehensive support services for Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to include planning, building, testing, deployment, stabilization of workstation changes, software distribution, patch management, service management, and program and administrative management related tasks.   • Provides operations and maintenance support of the configuration management, patch management, application deployment and device imaging of Windows-based solutions
  • Performs administration and systems management functions to maintain stability, interoperability, portability, security, and scalability of system architecture
  • Tests and integrates workstation changes
  • Implements security and compliance features
  • Prepares and delivers daily system health reports
  • Assists in providing operations and maintenance support of the configuration management, patch management, application deployment and device imaging of Windows-based solutions
  • Provides operations and maintenance support of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) infrastructure, patching, and updates to include troubleshooting issues when they arise

Qualifications:

  • The candidate shall possess 3+ years of hands-on experience in administering and managing information technology systems
  • Experience with Windows-based end user devices and systems within Windows OS environments
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing Active Directory, implementing security and compliance features, and optimizing endpoint solutions
  • The candidate shall currently have a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Information Technology. Demonstrated 7+ years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree
  • One or more relevant certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified Endpoint Administrator Associate, Security+ is preferred
  • Experience supporting common applications as well as third party applications running on Windows such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Sign for Government, and Microsoft 365 Apps
  • Experience providing customer support to clients at all levels within an organization including VIP and Senior Executive leadership
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be able to obtain and maintain a favorable CBP suitability determination
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and thorough documentation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to balance responsibilities among assigned activities; including the ability to manage transitions effectively from task to task, and adaptability to varying customer needs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong understanding of Windows 10 and 11 operating systems
  • Experience utilizing and maintaining enterprise management systems such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Active Directory, MS Entra ID and Intune.
  • Experience performing troubleshooting with technicians and/or end users utilizing Service Now ticketing system
  • Demonstrated experience with configuration of Windows desktop operating systems and management thereof with Active Directory Group Policy and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager
  • Experience implementing/troubleshooting Browser Extensions, Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and Group Policy Preferences (GPPs)
  • Exposure to Cloud Endpoint Management (MS Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, etc.)
  • Exposure to Applications (M365 Apps, Adobe Creative Cloud, Beyond Trust, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager Task Sequences (or similar product) for the purposes of performing Operating System Deployments (OSD) or building deployments requiring multiple steps
  • Ability to troubleshoot application installations and end user issues pertaining to usage of various desktop applications (Edge, Google Chrome, Java, Corretto, Adobe, etc.)

Pay Range: $75,000 – $85,000 Benefits: Regular – The company offers a comprehensive benefits program, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) and a range of other voluntary benefits.
