Job Description: Ambulatory Clinical Informatics Analyst, RNMinimum Qualifications:Active licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Mississippi required.Degree or experience in clinical informatics or equivalent (ex. Nursing) required.Experience in healthcare informatics, quality reporting, quality improvement and/or data analysis required.Good customer service, written, verbal and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and with a multidisciplinary team; critical thinking, time management, organizational skills and EMR knowledgeMinimum Requirements:Understanding of healthcare operations and systems; advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint & Microsoft WordAble to gather and process data and raw information from disparate sources and delve into data to discover discrepancies and patterns.Able to function effectively within an ever-changing environment; meet deadlines and reprioritize as necessary; navigate pertinent software, systems and databases utilized by the healthcare system; assist with multiple projects simultaneously and meet set deadlines and expectationsAble to create data-based user-friendly feedback and remediation plansResponsibilities:The ambulatory clinical informatics analyst/RN will manage all technical aspects of EMR, execute reports, and disseminate regulatory and industry updates to support South Central Clinics EMR utilization and optimization.EMR Software Liaison:Help maintain software applications and databases for ambulatory clinicsWork with Cerner/Oracle regulatory assistant to troubleshoot validation issues with eCQM and quality documentation crosswalk, transitioning to EPIC when appropriate.Support other staff members with troubleshooting and issuesAssist with developing workflows to meet CMS requirements and commercial/industry standardsAssist in developing EMR software and clinical workflow training materialsLiaison between IT and clinical staff for EMR software/implementation and optimizationLog SRs, follow to resolution and communicate resultsDevelop, evaluate & maintain all aspects of EMR quality reportsAssist in policy and procedure and/or documentation changes as needed to meet standardsKeep current with new developments in processes, standards and software as it pertains to EMR.Assist with interdepartmental performance improvement activitiesParticipate in internal teams to implement and evaluate process improvementsDevelop and prepare training tools, user manuals, and standard operating procedures in conjunction with other quality staffPerform regular system upgrades, quality control checks, and equipment maintenance to improve productivity and efficiency.Collaborate with management and internal teams to implement and evaluate improvements.Clinical Staff Education:Collaborate with team and peers to develop best-in-class training programs for clinical staffAssist in developing EHR clinical workflow training materials for ambulatory clinical staffEvaluate and makes recommendations regarding clinical processes and workflow for clinical staffOther duties as identified and assigned.
