The Talent Acquisition Specialist will manage and execute all aspects of the recruitment process at Joe Warren & Sons. This role focuses on sourcing, screening, and hiring top talent to meet the company’s staffing needs, specifically within the Skilled Trades Industry and supporting departmental staff. As the sole Specialist, you will leverage established systems, collaborate with hiring managers, and ensure a seamless and efficient hiring process.
Note: Proven experience recruiting for skilled trades talent is required.
Hybrid Setup: Expectation to be on-site at the Norwood, MA headquarters 2-3 days a week.Responsibilities (Talent Acquisition Specialist)
Talent Acquisition

  • Collaborate with hiring managers and department heads to understand staffing requirements.
  • Execute and refine existing recruitment strategies to attract and engage potential candidates.
  • Leverage recruitment channels, including job boards, social media, industry associations, and personal networks, to source qualified trades and technical candidates.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of potential candidates for current and future positions.

Candidate Screening and Evaluation

  • Review resumes and applications to identify candidates with the required technical skills and qualifications.
  • Conduct initial phone screens to assess candidates’ expertise, experience, and suitability for the role.
  • Coordinate and conduct structured in-person or virtual interviews to ensure consistency in candidate evaluation. Technical interviews may include Technician ride along days and in-house equipment assessments.

Interview Coordination

  • Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers or technical leads.
  • Provide candidates with information about the company, job role, and expectations.
  • Collect and communicate feedback from interviews to hiring teams for informed decision-making.

Candidate Relationship Management

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with candidates to enhance the employer brand.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to candidates after interviews.
  • Keep candidates informed about the status of their applications and next steps in the hiring process.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records using the ATS.
  • Generate reports on recruitment metrics, including time-to-fill, source of hire, and candidate pipeline.

Collaboration and Training

  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure alignment on hiring priorities and workforce planning.
  • Provide recommendations on market trends and compensation to ensure competitive offers.

Qualifications (Talent Acquisition Specialist)

  • Required: Proven experience recruiting for trades roles, with a deep understanding of skilled labor hiring processes and sourcing techniques.
  • Experience hiring Field Technicians (HVAC/R, Electro-Mechanical or similar skills trades talent).
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment strategies, sourcing techniques, and interview processes.
  • Ability to independently manage the entire recruitment lifecycle from sourcing to onboarding.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with ATS, sourcing platforms, and recruitment metrics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (preferred).
